PROJECT OVERVIEW

A Contemporary Indian Residence Where Craft Meets Calm

This 5 BHK apartment is conceived as a layered narrative of modern living infused with Indian craftsmanship. Designed for a multi-generational family, the home balances openness and intimacy through thoughtful spatial zoning, tactile materials, and curated moments of art and tradition. Each room carries its own identity while remaining part of a cohesive, design-forward whole.

Design Philosophy

Rooted Modernism with an Indian Soul

The design philosophy is anchored in contrast—clean architectural lines softened by handcrafted details, neutral palettes enriched with artisanal color, and modern furniture framed by cultural references. Instead of overt ornamentation, the home celebrates subtle storytelling: carved wooden doors, arch-inspired niches, textured wall finishes, and bespoke furniture elements.

Light, proportion, and material continuity guide the design, ensuring that luxury is experienced not through excess, but through restraint and refinement.

DETAILED DESIGN & SPATIAL PLANNING

Entrance & Foyer

The entrance sets a ceremonial tone with custom wooden doors featuring carved jaali patterns and sculptural handles. Rich wood paneling, geometric textures, and muted lighting establish an immediate sense of warmth and permanence.

Design Intent: A transition space that feels grounded, inviting, and culturally resonant.

Living Room

The living space is composed as a calm yet expressive social hub. Plush sectional sofas in deep neutral tones are paired with curated wall art and textured feature walls. Layered lighting—ambient, accent, and decorative—adds depth while maintaining visual softness.

Highlight: A sculptural accent wall and handcrafted art pieces that anchor the room without overwhelming it.

Formal Lounge / Family Lounge

Designed as a relaxed gathering space, this area introduces warmer tones, upholstered seating, and arched detailing that subtly references classical Indian architecture. The checkered flooring and dramatic curtains lend a sense of old-world charm reinterpreted in a contemporary language.

Bedrooms (Master & Secondary Suites)

Each bedroom is treated as a personal retreat with its own color story and mood.

  • Master Bedroom:
Features an arched headboard niche, layered textiles, and muted earth tones. Upholstered furniture and soft lighting enhance comfort and visual calm.
  • Secondary Bedrooms:
Designed with playful accents—hand-painted murals, patterned wardrobes, and vibrant textiles—while maintaining a refined balance through controlled material palettes.

Design Focus: Comfort-driven layouts, integrated storage, and personalized aesthetics.

Wardrobes & Storage

Custom wardrobes combine wood veneers, matte finishes, and frosted glass panels. Linear detailing and concealed hardware ensure visual cleanliness while maximizing functionality.

Kitchen & Dining

The kitchen is a modern workspace defined by sleek cabinetry, stone countertops, and efficient planning. Neutral tones dominate, allowing material textures to take center stage.
The dining area complements this with a solid wood table, understated lighting, and elegant seating—designed equally for everyday use and formal gatherings.

Pooja & Spiritual Corners

A dedicated pooja space integrates traditional motifs with contemporary execution—custom cabinetry, backlit panels, and carved elements framed within a clean architectural envelope.

Balconies & Transition Spaces

Outdoor spaces are treated as extensions of the interior, featuring wooden ceilings, casual seating, and soft greenery—creating quiet moments of pause within the home.
