Chintak House

A Contemporary Indian Home Where Craft, Comfort, and Calm Converge

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This expansive 5 BHK apartment is conceived as a layered contemporary home—one that balances modern living with deeply rooted Indian sensibilities. Designed for a multigenerational family, the residence brings together crafted woodwork, warm textures, and thoughtfully zoned spaces that transition seamlessly from social to private realms. Every corner is intentional, every surface tactile, and every room designed to age gracefully with its inhabitants.

Design Philosophy

At the heart of the design lies a simple yet powerful idea: luxury should feel lived-in, not imposed.
Rather than chasing trends, the interiors focus on proportion, material honesty, and cultural nuance. Clean architectural lines are softened with handcrafted details, traditional motifs, and warm lighting—creating spaces that feel both contemporary and emotionally grounded.

Indian craft is interpreted in a modern language—through carved doors, patterned jaali elements, brass accents, and devotional spaces—ensuring the home feels rooted yet current.

Spatial Planning & Zoning

The layout carefully separates public, semi-private, and private zones, allowing the home to function effortlessly for both daily living and entertaining.

  • Entry & Foyer act as a transitional pause, introducing material richness and visual depth.
  • Living & Dining areas are open yet defined, encouraging interaction while maintaining spatial clarity.
  • Bedrooms are individualized sanctuaries, each reflecting a distinct mood and personality.
  • Balconies, lounges, and informal seating corners add moments of pause and retreat within the larger plan.

Living Room

The living room is composed as a refined social setting—anchored by plush seating, sculptural lighting, and a restrained palette. Feature walls in textured finishes and bespoke wall art lend character without overwhelming the space. The use of layered lighting—ambient, accent, and concealed—adds warmth and depth, making the room equally inviting by day or night.

Dining Area

Designed as a ceremonial yet comfortable gathering space, the dining area combines solid wood furniture with statement lighting and tactile finishes. Brick textures, warm wood tones, and carefully curated pendant lights create an atmosphere that feels intimate, grounded, and timeless—perfect for long conversations and shared meals.

Kitchen

The kitchen is sleek, efficient, and visually calm. Handle-less cabinetry, quartz and granite countertops, and well-planned storage ensure functionality without visual clutter. Integrated lighting under cabinets and islands enhances usability while elevating the overall aesthetic. The palette remains neutral, allowing materials and proportions to take center stage.

Bedrooms

Each bedroom is treated as a personal retreat, with its own design language:

  • Master Bedroom: A serene composition of upholstered headboards, soft lighting, and muted tones—designed for rest and quiet luxury.
  • Secondary Bedrooms: Introduce bolder accents through color, artwork, or patterned panels while maintaining overall cohesion.
  • Guest Bedrooms: Calm, neutral, and welcoming, with understated elegance and smart storage solutions.

Custom wardrobes, veneered panels, and thoughtfully placed lighting create rooms that feel both practical and indulgent.

Devotional & Transition Spaces

A dedicated pooja space anchors the home spiritually, crafted with traditional motifs, backlit panels, and warm finishes. Corridors, niches, and transition areas are treated as design moments rather than leftover spaces—featuring art, textures, and subtle lighting to maintain continuity throughout the home.
