Muuna Bhai House

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Muuna Bhai House, located in Vadodara, is a 1500 sq. ft. apartment designed for a senior couple who desired a functional, breathable, and clutter-free home. The interiors are curated with a focus on practicality, elegance, and comfort, avoiding unnecessary materials and elements while creating a warm and welcoming space. The apartment makeover incorporates a blend of dark glossy flooring, wooden finishes, and subtle lighting to enhance its contemporary appeal.

The layout embraces an open-plan concept, with the living and dining areas seamlessly integrated. The only partition is a sliding door that subtly separates the living space, allowing flexibility in its use.

Design Philosophy

Entrance & Foyer
  • The apartment entrance features a wooden safety door, offering a blend of security and style.
  • The small foyer area is enhanced with a Buddha-themed indirect lighting wall panel, adding a tranquil and spiritual vibe to the entryway. The paneling creates a focal point that highlights the elegance of the space.

Living Room & Dining Area
  • A sliding door partition with a central TV unit divides the large living room, offering a balance between privacy and openness.
  • One wall of the living room is highlighted with POP molding, creating a design statement.
  • The dining and kitchen areas are part of an open layout, with a functional island kitchen platform finished in wooden laminate. The kitchen design emphasizes practicality while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic.

Master Bedroom
  • The master bedroom features wooden wall paneling with a grooved pattern that elegantly conceals structural columns and beams.
  • Two small niches within the paneling are accentuated with indirect lighting, creating a soft glow and adding depth to the design.
  • The lighting and textures work together to create a cozy and luxurious retreat.

Son’s Bedroom
  • The son’s bedroom showcases a contemporary look with bronze mirror panels and wooden strips, providing a sense of sophistication.
  • The bed features a fully leather-covered frame with a padded headboard, ensuring comfort and elegance.
  • Indirect lighting highlights the paneling details, giving the room a soft and inviting ambiance.
